The tiers stack: a First ticket or Gold Guest List status reaches everything below it, a BA Gold card reaches Galleries First and every Galleries Club room, and a Silver card or oneworld Sapphire status reaches Galleries Club only. A partner airline's oneworld card works exactly like the equivalent BA tier, so a Sapphire card from American Airlines or Qatar Airways opens the same Galleries Club door as BA Silver, and an Emerald card opens Galleries First. The six lounges at Terminal 5
Terminal 5 is British Airways' home base at Heathrow, and it shows in the lounge count. The Concorde Room, the airline's flagship, sits on the upper floor of the T5A building next to Galleries First and is open 05:00 to 22:00. It's the only lounge at Heathrow with a sit-down restaurant for every guest, along with private dining booths, table service at the bar, a quiet nap area and bookable rest cabanas. Galleries First, alongside it, is the room most status passengers actually use day to day, with hosted dining, a full bar and showers, and it also acts as overflow when the Concorde Room fills up during a busy First class departure bank.
Below that sit three separate Galleries Club rooms, all on the same access list and offering a hot and cold buffet, a full bar, showers and work tables. Galleries Club North is the one nearest the top of the security escalator and tends to fill first. Galleries Club South is the largest of the three and, by most accounts, the busiest at peak times. Galleries Club T5B sits out in the T5B satellite building, reached by the internal transit train, and is usually the quietest simply because fewer passengers make the trip out to reach it.
Landside, the Galleries Arrivals Lounge is a shower-and-breakfast stop for passengers off an overnight long-haul flight, open 05:00 to 13:00 for arriving First and Club World passengers and for BA Gold members arriving on a long-haul service.
One further T5 feature is worth knowing about even if you never set foot in a lounge: the First Wing, a private check-in and security lane at the south end of T5A for First, Gold, Gold Guest List and oneworld Emerald passengers plus a guest. British Airways at Terminal 3
A smaller number of British Airways and oneworld flights use Terminal 3 rather than T5, and BA keeps a thinner pair of lounges there to match: a Galleries Club and a Galleries First, both in the Lounge F zone, on exactly the same access rules as their T5 namesakes. They're noticeably smaller than the T5 rooms and see only a slice of BA's First class operation, since BA flies First from T3 on a limited number of routes. If you don't qualify for a BA lounge
Economy passengers on a standard BA ticket without status, or passengers on non-oneworld airlines, won't get into any of the rooms above at any price.
