Each Heathrow terminal has its own postcode: Terminal 2 is TW6 1EW, Terminal 3 is TW6 1QG, Terminal 4 is TW6 3XA, and Terminal 5 is TW6 2GA. These are the postcodes Heathrow's own site publishes for driving directions, and they'll get your sat nav to the right terminal building for drop-off, pick-up or the near-terminal car park. Checked against Heathrow's own site, October 2026.
Heathrow terminal postcodes at a glance
| Terminal | Postcode | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal 2 | TW6 1EW | Terminal building, Terminal Parking (Short Stay), drop-off |
| Terminal 3 | TW6 1QG | Terminal building, Terminal Parking (Short Stay), drop-off |
| Terminal 4 | TW6 3XA | Terminal building, drop-off (Park & Ride is now the only passenger car park here) |
| Terminal 5 | TW6 2GA | Terminal building, Terminal Parking (Short Stay), drop-off |
All four postcodes are published directly by Heathrow Airport. If your sat nav or map app shows several results for one of these codes, pick the one labelled for the airport rather than a nearby Hounslow or Longford residential address, since TW6 covers more than just the airport.
Using these postcodes for drop-off
Entering the terminal postcode will get you close to the right building, but Heathrow's drop-off areas sit on specific access roads just before each terminal, not at the terminal's front door:
- Terminal 2: via Constellation Way, following the up ramp to the drop-off area.
- Terminal 3: via Cosmopolitan Way onto Camborne Road, with four drop-off lanes.
- Terminal 4: via Stratford Road, with three lanes at the top of the ramp.
- Terminal 5: via Wayfarer Road, splitting into two drop-off lanes at the top of the ramp.
Every terminal drop-off area charges £7 per visit, payable online or by phone, not at the zone itself, and you can't pay a second time to extend your stay; you're charged again if you leave and re-enter. Waiting and pick-ups aren't permitted in these drop-off zones, and an unattended vehicle can be towed. See our drop-off charge guide for the full rules and how to avoid paying twice.
Using these postcodes for parking
The terminal postcodes above will also take you to each terminal's near-terminal car park (Terminal Parking, formerly Short Stay), except at Terminal 4:
- Terminal 4 car park closure: Since 23 June 2026, the Terminal 4 multi-storey car park has been closed for redevelopment, and all Terminal 4 passenger parking, including Blue Badge bays, has moved to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride car park. If you're driving to Terminal 4, don't rely on an old sat nav entry for the former multi-storey car park.
- Terminal 5 Park & Ride (Long Stay) uses a separate postcode, TW6 2RL, on the Northern Perimeter Road rather than the TW6 2GA terminal postcode, since it's on the airport perimeter rather than next to the building.
If you're using a car park operator's own app or booking confirmation rather than a generic postcode, follow that operator's specific directions, since Park & Ride and Priority Park & Ride car parks for all terminals sit on perimeter roads with their own access points.
Using these postcodes for pick-up
If you're picking someone up, you can't wait on the terminal forecourt itself under Heathrow's Traffic Regulation Orders, so these postcodes are most useful for heading to a Terminal Parking or Park & Ride car park to wait instead, both of which allow passenger pick-up. Park & Ride gives you up to 29 minutes free at Terminals 2, 3 and 5, and up to 2 hours free in Terminal 4's Zone A, before the barrier reads your ticket or number plate on exit. Re-entry is blocked for 24 hours afterwards, and this free period isn't available to private hire or trade vehicles. Blue Badge holders get 2 hours free in any Park & Ride car park at any terminal, confirmed at the call point on entry and exit.
Why your sat nav might not take you exactly where you expect
TW6 is a single postcode district covering the whole airport and some surrounding land, so the full postcode (including the final letters) matters more than it would in a smaller town; typing just "TW6" without the rest can land you somewhere else on the airport entirely. If your sat nav offers a choice of addresses for one of these postcodes, look for one explicitly labelled with the terminal name or "Heathrow Airport" rather than picking the first result.
Planning the rest of your journey
For driving directions by road rather than postcode, see our car hire and parking price comparison guides. If you're being dropped off rather than driving yourself, our drop-off charge guide covers the full cost and how to avoid paying it twice.
Terminal layouts and car park arrangements can change, as the Terminal 4 closure shows, so check Heathrow's own site for the current car park status at your terminal before you travel. Checked October 2026.

Will a Heathrow terminal postcode take me straight to the drop-off zone?
It'll get you to the right terminal, but each drop-off area is on a specific access road (for example Constellation Way for Terminal 2), reached by following terminal signage once you're close, not a separate postcode of its own.
Do all Heathrow terminals have the same drop-off charge?
Yes, £7 per visit at every terminal, paid online or by phone rather than at the zone, and charged again each time you re-enter.
